*05/07/08 National Youth Championships

Six competitors from Low Fell SKC entered the National Youth Championships in Chesterfield on Saturday 5th July.

This event attracts all the top competitors from around the country and the standard of competition is very high.

Chris Hamilton went on to win the Gold medal in the individual Kata with Sam Light taking the Bronze medal in the individual Kumite.

The Team Kata led by Team Kata coach Tony Spencer performed exceptionally well beating some top class opponents on their way to the final eventually taking the Silver medal with a performance of Bassai-Dai which had the full appreciation of the knowledgeable audience.

James and Jordan performed with an extremely high

standard both progressing through the early rounds at both

 Kata and Kumite, both were eliminated in the rounds

prior to the final.
